Miami Ink: Tattoos and Drama

Have you ever noticed that tattoo artists are usually all covered in tattoo themselves? I wonder why that is?
"This week Ami James and the rest of the guys from Miami Ink have a heavy dose of loss, transformation and hope for the future. This episode is all about relationships; relationships from the past, present and future.

These stories of love, honor and loss are revealed to them not only from the clients who come into the shop, but also from one of their own. James, Ami's former apprentice, comes into the shop to finish a piece that Ami started over eight years age. In the process, enlightening us to what its like to be Ami's apprentice. Adrienne comes in to get a cover up of her old faded fairy tattoo from Garver. Her new tattoo will represent her rise from the depths of addiction into the joys of sobriety and motherhood.

An old friend of Ami's, Cordell, who has been talking about getting his first tattoo for years, finally has a good enough reason. His cousin Renton drowned, and he wishes to memorialize him forever with a special tattoo that has his name built into it. All four guys in the shop work on a rock band, Dyslexic Postcards, that hopes to bond themselves forever by enduring the tattoo process, at the same time. Justin's tattoo provides a special challenge for Nunez. He must combine several different symbolic images into one special coat of arms that will honor Justin's friend who died of a drug overdose."
They all look bad ass with their tattoos but the truth is they're all a bunch of sentimental softies.

A Reason To Watch Free Malaysian TV: Top Gear

You have probably noticed that a few months ago Astro recently added a few more channels to it’s line up. One of them is the ultra cool and dry BBC Entertainment. You’d notice that everyone on this channel speaks with a weird accent; it’s because they’re British.

I was a wee bit excited because I had hoped that this will give me a chance to watch the much talked about show Top Gear on the telly. What’s great about the show is you don’t have to be crazy about cars to enjoy it. It’s that entertaining!

No such Luck. According to their website they weren’t planning to air Top Gear anytime soon… It thought that was that, and I would have to resort to torrents again, so imagine my surprise and delight to find the show airing on NTV7 instead!

If you only watch Astro channels, this is an example of how you might be missing out on what Free TV has to offer.

3 TV Shows Worth Watching on Sundays on Discovery Channel

1. I Shouldn't BE Alive

Every time I watch this TV show, I pretend I am the protagonist who is thrown into what seems to be a hopeless situation where the outcome can only be a horrible death at sea, dessert or rainforest. Yes death by heat, starvation, infected wounds or predators is what’s in store for me and whoever who is unfortunate enough to be with me at the time.

I like to watch this in bed, under the covers whilst munching on something with the air conditioner turned ON.

2. American Chopper

It’s funny that before I started watching this TV show, I had no interest in motorcycles whatsoever. In fact I still don't. The appeal of this show is not about the machines. It’s in watching these guys build them. Father, sons and co-worker together building a motorcycle from scratch. It’s entertaining to watch them bumbling about, getting things wrong and fooling around.

I sincerely believe that an episode where Paul Sr. loses it or where Junior starts throwing tools into a glass pane and/or punching holes into doors is the equivalent of that gardener guy taking his clothes of on Desperate Housewives, or Jennifer Aniston implying partial nudity in an episode of Friends. It gets the ratings to shoot through the roof!

Oh, and the choppers are nice too.

3. How Do They Do It

The first episode I saw had to do with zippers. I thought to myself, ‘Damn, I’ve always wondered about that’. I remember seeing ‘YKK’ on the zippers of my school pants and wondered what then stood for.

Watching the TV show, I was enlightened. Turns out that Japan makes 68% of the world's zippers and a large part of that is manufactured by the company YKK.

Now I can die in peace.

Not many people know this, but Doraemon is in fact a cat. His ears were bitten of by a robot mouse back in the future.
"Doraemon was sent back in time by Nobita Nobi's great-great grandson Sewashi to improve Nobita's circumstances in order for Nobita's descendants to enjoy a better future. In the original timeline, Nobita's failures in school and subsequently, his career, left his family line beset with financial problems.
I wish I had a magic robot cat from the future to help me out in my daily life.

Get to see Tom with gray hair and play a bad guy for once!
"Max (Oscar® winner Foxx, Jarhead, Miami Vice, Ray) has lived the mundane life of a cab driver for 12 years. The faces have come and gone from his rearview mirror, people and places he's long since forgotten...until tonight. Vincent (Cruise, Mission Impossible III, War of The Worlds) is a contract killer. When a drug cartel learns that they're about to be indicted by a federal grand jury, they mount an operation to identify and kill the key witnesses. Tonight, Vincent arrives in L.A. and five bodies are supposed to fall, including District Attorney Annie (Pinkett Smith, Madagascar, The Matrix Revolutions). Circumstances cause Vincent to hijack Max's taxicab, and Max becomes collateral - an expendable person in the wrong place at the wrong time. Through the night, Vincent forces Max to drive him to each assigned destination. As the authorities race to intercept them, Max and Vincent's survival becomes intertwined in ways that neither of them would ever have imagined."

Tom take's Jamie for the ride of his life!

Mean bitches finds a barbie doll!

"Saturday Night Live" writer, Tina Fey, pens the screenplay for this wickedly funny satire on teenage vanities and political correctness. This box-office hit garnered rave reviews from critics for its sharp and witty script along with strong performances from the cast; in particular lead actress, Lindsay Lohan, who also starred in "Herbie: Fully Loaded" and "The Parent Trap." Lohan plays Cady Heron, who was raised in the African wilderness by her zoologist parents and thought she knew all about survival, until she moves to Chicago. She soon finds herself needing to relearn the rules of survival in a different kind of jungle - the American high school. The school's most fashionable clique, The Plastics, is led by Regina (McAdams, Red Eye, Wedding Crashers). Regina is livid when Cady falls for Regina's ex-boyfriend, and all hell breaks loose as the two girls fight for their man. This movie firmly established Lohan as one of America's most bankable teen stars."

You are girly girls! I get it! Enough with the pink already!

Mean Girls - Tuesday 10:55 am on Astro's Cinemax

Nice juicy muscle, girl love to bite into!

"Based on Homer's classic epic "The Iliad," this box-office hit brings to life the well-known and tragic tale of antiquity: the fall of the mythical city of Troy. Young Trojan prince, Paris (Bloom, Pirates Of The Caribbean 2, Elizabethtown), has fallen in love with Menelaus' beautiful wife, Helen (Kruger, National Treasure). Although he knows that his father, King Priam (Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winner O'Toole, Casanova), has engineered a fragile peace with the Greek kingdom of Sparta, he throws caution to the wind and abducts Helen. His eldest brother, Prince Hector (Bana, Munich, Lucky You), is furious when he finds out that Helen is with them. With Helen's abduction, war is imminent. As Menelaus (Gleeson, Studs) seeks retribution, his war-mongering brother, King Agamemnon (Emmy® Award winner Cox, The Ringer, Red Eye), uses it as an excuse to attack Troy, and lay waste to the last proud kingdom that refuses to bow to Greece. Menelaus rounds up a veritable alliance of warriors and kings, including the legendary Odysseus (Bean, Flightplan) and Achilles (Golden Globe® winner Pitt, Mr. & Mrs. Smith). The great warrior is blase at first about being in the war, having been warned by his mother, Thetis, that should he join, he will never return alive. However, when Achilles' beloved cousin, Patroclus, is inadvertently killed by Hector in battle, Achilles' fury is intense and he wants no less than a duel to the death with Hector. The war is the start of the destruction of the city of Troy. And death in war seems to be the only way to ensure that one is remembered for all time as being brave, noble and honorable."
Enough testosterone and estrogen for the whole gang to enjoy!
