Wakenabeb!: Ziana Zain

Not satisfied with the amount of complains they got from MCMC (Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission) over the Marsha fiasco, the Wakenabeb! team is trying top themselves again by harassing ex-singer Diva herself (and I use this word ‘harassing’ as lovingly as I can), Ziana Zain.

Finally, a Malaysian star that I actually know. I’m not sure what the setup is but it involves her being robbed by 3 penyamuns (Trans: robbers) and latter being blind folded.

Local reality television doesn’t get any better than this.

I don't whether it's hereditary but Malaysians are such copycats. Need I elaborate any further? Bleargh.

I was watching the Ziana episode while dining out with hubby. We stayed until the whole episode was over. I think the joke has gone too far on this particular episode. Did you see Ziana's face when they opened her blindfold? It wasn't even funny. More or less we pitied her. They should've stopped when the robbers wanted an autograph or when she started to cry.

They totally screwed up the joke. In my opinion, they should make shorter jokes to make it funnier.

I don't mind good copycat shows. What do you expect from Malaysian TV? But Wakanabeb! sure needs to learn a LOT from Punk'd. learn from the best to be the best.

Like TV3, 8TV , ntv7, TV9 and RTM , Astro also offers their shows online . You have to already be a subscriber the corresponding Astro package for you to view the videos though. And the site seems to only work on Microsoft Internet Explorer 6. UPDATE: Check out http://malaysiantvonline.com/ .
